Halt Gooey brake pads are made with a special soft rubber compound which increases brake performance with very little increase in wear rate.  They were originally designed for bmx's but will also fit mountain bikes.

Tests by Halt have shown up to 25% increase in efficiency (depending on brake setup, weather conditions, wheel rim finish etc)
