Merida are the second largest cycle manufacturer in the world, producing in the region of 350,000 bikes a year.  Merida make frames for lots of other manufacturers, including Specialized and GT! (For those you you who dont know, Merida actually own 51% of Specialized).

Although not well known in the UK at present, Merida's reputation is growing with several XC championships under their belt and the sponsorship of race series nationwide.  Their carbon frames are particularly impressive with the use of nano tubing to increase its strength and life.
